Our 6th graders explored different instruments at their orchestra meeting—with plenty of giggles over some of the sounds they made! 😂

Our 2nd graders explored properties of matter, learning how to describe objects by their different properties.

Our 5th graders created visual narratives to share more about themselves and the things they love.

Our 4th graders created “All About Me Sundaes” to show off what makes each student unique!

And another class of 4th graders celebrated an awesome early win—beating their 90% French vocabulary goal with an impressive 95%! 🎉

On August 20, after dropping off your kindergartener on their first day of school, please join us in the gym for a brief welcome and introduction to Odyssey. You'll hear from our Family Advocate, Secretary, and School Nurse and get a few helpful updates to start the year.

Join Davis Reads 45 this summer! Students are challenged to read for 45 days, earning prizes every 5 days and a special end-of-summer event for those who complete the challenge. Pick up books during summer library hours. Families should check with their local elementary school for specific days and times. Monday includes a 6th grade field trip to Hogle Zoo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday lists a 3rd and 4th grade walking field trip, kindergarten program at 2 p.m., and graduating seniors visiting at 2:45. Wednesday includes 6th grade graduation at 10:30 a.m., NOVA pedal carts at 11:15 a.m., and a 6th grade dance from 2–3 p.m. Thursday highlights Field Day with separate times for K–3rd and 4th–6th grades. Friday lists a 6th grade parent kickball game from 9–10 a.m. and yearbook signing from 10–11 a.m. Decorative calendar icons and small star graphics appear throughout the flyer.
Our 6th graders had a blast launching 96 rockets as part of their final STEM activity! 🚀 Students learned about rocket propulsion, weather, payloads, and the history of rocket science before sending their creations soaring into the sky. A huge thank you to Kurt Gentry (Mrs. Bott's Dad) for helping make this unforgettable day possible!

Odyssey will be offering an Open Library this summer! Current Odyssey students are invited to visit the library on Wednesdays from 10:00–11:30 a.m. to check out books and enjoy summer reading.

Students may check out up to 2 books each, and incoming kindergartners are welcome to visit and read onsite with an adult.
