Elementary School Counselors support students through classroom lessons, individual counseling, and group counseling sessions. I will be teaching multiple lessons in each classroom throughout the year. Topics may include things such as: managing emotions, kindness, stress management, problem solving, etc. I meet with students individually or in group settings for anything from social skills and classroom behavior to things like anxiety and divorce. When I met with students one-on-one, or in a small group, I do have to have our permission to counsel filled out by a guardian.
